'Da Cubs

We're gearing up for Spring Training at our house--well, actually we were just trying on clothes in the next size up and realized that Keith's old Cubs jacket fits Ezra already. Unfortunately it's a huge understatement that it is still too cold for just a jacket. We're hoping that Ezra can slow down growing until at least May so he can wear it.

Temperatures have been below freezing in Vienna. Somewhere between New Mexico and Vienna I must have forgotten my cold weather roots. I remember winters in Utah with temperatures near or sometimes below 0 degrees. Now just 25 degrees feels like -25 to me. Thank goodness for scarves, wool socks, and raspberry tea.

I took these pictures the other weekend when we were having a lazy Saturday.  Keith always obliges Ezra in one of his favorite activities--looking out our front window.  We have a fairly busy road in front of our apartment which is perfect for spotting all kinds of cars, dump trucks, and motorcycles. Often we hear sirens which causes Ezra to stop whatever he's doing and head for the window. Keith will scoop him up so they can hurry and spot the ambulance or police car before they're out of view.

I love seeing Ezra in Keith's old jacket. That is so cute! Good luck with the whole slow down his growing thing....they never do! :)

Wow! I knew it was small for a size 3, but didn't expect it to fit him just yet. Love it! I'll make sure that Grandpa Sam and Grandma Jo see it. Before to send them a picture too.

Raspberry tea is my favorite too. when I was trying to practice praying in german my prayers almost entirely consisted of, "Lieber himmlischer Vater, ich danke Ihnen für Himbeer-Tee." Sometimes I would also thank him for "Erdbeer-Tee."
