We snuck in a visit to the Vienna Opera. The 3 Euro standing room tickets have to be one of the best kept secrets in town (sitting tickets are expensive and hard to come by).
Christmas Day we took a look at what Santa brought, then headed to 9:30 church. It was a really great meeting, we were combined with the German-speaking ward (that also meets in our building) and sang Christmas hymns in both English and German.
In my crazy plan to show my family as much of Europe as possible in two weeks, we left on the night train Christmas evening headed for Rome. (Did I mention that my sister Michelle told me before coming that she was expecting their trip to Europe to be very Polar Express-like. No pressure!) Well, the night train wasn't exactly the Polar Express--Keith and I have vowed to never take a night train again--but it was an... experience and we met a really nice Korean friend (the 6th man in our 6-person couchette) along the way.
Can you believe all six of us fit into a compartment the size of a closet? We literally hit knees when we got out of bed.
In all fairness they did feed us a croissant with fruit tea and we saved a day of traveling.

Loved hearing your parents and Michelle tell stories of the train experience! When I think of your mom sleep talking, I still crack up!
Ahhh! I should have told about that. Maybe it's too embarrassing, but it was seriously so funny!
It was really not tha-a-a-a-t funny! ;)
