Early Christmas

In Austria, "furnished apartments" don't come with light fixtures. In preparation for my parents visiting us, we finally got around to purchasing and installing some fixtures. Ezra was so excited about the ladder, he thought Christmas had come early.

Cars, Trains and Airplanes, but mostly just Trains

Ezra loves all things that drive, fly or run on a track. He immediately perks up every time he hears a car siren (which happens fairly often near our house). Almost every day Ezra and I go to the park by our house and lately we haven't been making it all the way to the playground there because instead, we stop to the watch the trains. The train thing has been going on  for quite a while now. Ezra loves riding the train every day--metro. His cars are trains, not cars and they run on tracks, not roads. He will often line up random objects (soap bottles, tea bags, Cheerios, etc.) and says "chrain chack" over and over. We're torn on whether to encourage the obsession or try to curb it somehow. Resistance may be futile.

O Tannenbaum

Ezra is completely fascinated with the addition of the Christmas tree in our house. I think since we don't have many other decorations it's much more of a novelty than it would be otherwise. Some of our friends were so nice and lent us two strands of 220 volt lights so we didn't have to keep using our transformer with our one strand of Walmart 110 lights we brought with us.

If you look closely on the bottom picture, Ezra looks like he's a little Christmas elf with the glowing lights following him. Completely un-Photoshop-enhanced.
