Every Day

The other day we were skyping with Keith's mom and she asked me, "so what do you and Ezra do all day?" I realize that there's some mystery as to what one does in Vienna versus Los Alamos. The truth is, a lot of the same... laundry, going to the park, sometimes meet Keith for lunch, etc. etc. So here's an idea of a few of the different things we get to do in Vienna.

Some of the perks of living here include:

> great running paths (without any hills) and next to really amazing old buildings--so schön
> fantastic museums
> ten minute walk to H&M
> flee markets and booths at Naschmarkt
> endless foreign cuisine options

Here's some pictures of some of the every-day things we've been doing this summer.

Lucky to have this guy helping with laundry.

Taking advantage of the commissary at the UN. So grateful for tortilla chips!

Returning items to the store is a little more involved here. This picture was taken before we rode two stops on the metro, took a 20 minute bus ride, ate a couple Swedish meatballs, exchanged a few things, and finally made the trek back home with a 30 lb piece of wood packed on top of the stroller.

Not Austria. I had to laugh when my friend in Thailand posted this on her FB page. I definitely could have used one of these carts in place of my stroller.

Vienna has all sorts of furniture stores downtown. I love window shopping them. This is my favorite piece so far. Do you think Keith will get it for me for my b-day?

A sample of some baroque around town.

Going for a run.

Ezra's Cheerio routine while I'm running.

Checking out an outdoor sculpture by our house. It randomly gurgles and squawks.

I definitely posted that nest/hammock thing on my facebook a few months ago. I'm so jealous that you saw it in person! If Keith doesn't get it for you for your birthday maybe I can talk him into it when I come out for Christmas.

Oooo... I want it so badly. I think it's only 3,000 EU. Is that too much to ask for a perfectly suspended gourd that could fit at least 4 people? I think not.

It's so fun to see how you live in a different country! I love that piece of furniture too. So cool!

I love the top picture of you two. I definitely want that in a format I can print. Thanks for the photo tour. Also, I'm all for the hanging bed! You'd be the only one in Los Alamos with one for sure.

I love seeing what you do everyday. I wish I could come running with you, so many things to look at and no hills! Miss you guys!

You can stop by H&M for me anytime! I wish we were coming out for Christmas and we could go running together on those trails:(

A few things, 1. I am probably jealous that you get real chips. But not too jealous, because I am returning to the land of chips and homemade guacamole. 2. I love the hanging bed/couch/lounge thing, and would now also like it for my birthday. :) 3. I love riding my bike through that last sculpture/outside installation, and I'm glad Ezra likes it too.
