This weekend we spent in Croatia. We had a lazy vacation hanging out at the beach and the pool. The first day on the beach was easily over 100 F. It was nice to store up a little warmth before the long cold Viennese winter.
If anyone would like to meet us in Croatia, let us know. We'd love to go back sometime soon!
Tangent: For those of you who went to high school in the 90s, do you remember Channel One? Anderson Cooper? Lisa Ling? A.J. Hammer? It seemed like every week they reported on Yugoslavia, Serbs, Croats, Bosnians... naturally I lumped Croatia with eastern block countries and considered it a cold, cemented, war-torn country. However, the bustling beaches we visited this weekend were definitely not cold and very different from what I imagined it to be like. The best way I can describe it is a cross between Greece and Italy. The trip peaked my interest in learning a little more about Yugoslavian history. Maybe Channel One provided more value than spinning acne cream ads to teenagers after all.

I keep telling Geoff we need a vacation! (just us without the kids...we haven't done that in...oh, I don't know, 5 years!) AND, I keep telling him I know some people who live in Europe (you guys). Personally, I think we would have a blast, but all Geoff sees is dollars signs. MEN!

Yes he did! Keith used the clippers. He was going to start with a 4 but changed to a 3 last minute. We're all having a little hair cut remorse but his hair has already started growing back.
